New blend for La Escapada Cava
The Brut and Demi-Sec cavas in the Escapada range, made in an estate winery in Sant Sadurni d’Anoia, now include 15% of the cava grape par excellence, Xarel.lo, in the blend.
Xarel.lo is known for its high acidity, and adds backbone to the blend, making the wines fresher and able to age for longer. The classic blends also include 50% Macabeo and 35% Parellada. The range is complemented by a 100% Trepat Rosado. All wines are aged for 12 months, longer than the minimum stipulations, but remain fresh with very fruity aromas of pear, banana and apple and just a hint of bread dough.
