DO Ribera del Duero
Go into any bar in Madrid, and alongside Rioja, you will most certainly find wines from Ribera del Duero served by the glass. As Madrileños, we’ve long wanted to bring one of our favourites to audiences outside Spain, but it took years of searching for the right winery partner to launch our own Ribera del Duero for export. Whereas some of the region’s wines can be unapproachable when young or priced beyond the reach of the wider public, Altos de Aranda strikes the perfect balance of high-altitude Tempranillo fruit, oak complexity and competitive pricing. The sheep that features on the label was inspired both by the landscape of scrubland, used for grazing and dotted with traditional bush vines, and the traditional food pairing for Ribera del Duero of roast lamb.
