Vega Escal awarded 91 points

Vega Escal, our award-winning Priorat blend of Cariñena, Garnacha and Syrah always does well in the international competitions and we’re pleased to say we have some prestigious 90+ points scores from US-based wine titles.

Wine Spectator, founded in 1976, is one of the world’s longest standing wine magazines. In its June issue it awards 91 points to the 2015 vintage of Vega Escal, saying that it shows “density without heaviness” and a “good balance of fruity and savory notes”.

Vinous is the publication of Venezuelan Antoni Galloni, a former taster for Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate, who set up his own publication in 2013. The publication awarded the same wine 90 points, remarking on the wine’s “supple and expansive palate” and “long, gently sweet finish.”
