Toca Cava touches down at ProWein
Another of the products we unveiled at ProWein this Sunday is Toca Cava.
Cava is one of Spain’s biggest exports and as specialist Spanish exporters, it’s one of our specialities. With the global market for sparkling wine continuing to grow, we decided to launch a new product that fulfils the growing market for quality sparkling wines with great packaging and affordable pricing.
The word “Toca” means touch and it gave us many ideas to play with. The ridges on the new embossed label reflect both the finger-prints of the hands that pick the grapes and the contour lines of the nearby Serra de Tallat mountains that protect the vineyards from the extreme continental climate.
The simple but striking use of blue, white and silver shows cool, classic chic for the range than includes a Brut made from Parelleda and Macabeo grapes and a rosé made from 100% Trepat.
Managing Director William Long comments, “Like all the wines in our range, we tasted thousands of cavas before creating the Toca range. We hate the earthy character you sometimes find in entry-level cava and the lack of pure fruit when made from press wines. Toca is made carefully from high quality fruit to offer crisp, clean flavours and a delicate mousse.”
