Las Carlinas Bottle Fermented Sparkling – a new wine for a new sector

Did you know that cava represents 78% of Spanish sparkling wine exports by value?  But that other Spanish sparkling wine exports grew by 18% in value during the first four months of 2024*?

 

As drought has hit cava harvests over recent years and prices have risen, demand has increased for alternative sparkling wines from Spain.

Here at Long Wines we pride ourselves on our range of Spanish sparkling wines. Our years of experience working with some of Spain’s top sparkling wine producers has allowed us to develop a range that spans all price points from lifestyle gran vas brands to premium organic cava.

The latest addition to our range is Las Carlinas Brut Bottle Fermented Sparkling Wine– a new option for consumers who appreciate what bottle fermentation adds in terms of richness and complexity.

 

The classic packaging highlights the fact that it is bottle-fermented, just like cava, giving a fine, well-integrated mousse. However, it has been aged for a shorter length of time on its lees (four months, compared to a minimum of nine for cava). This means it retains its bright, clean fruit flavours and offers unrivalled value-for-money.
